
Suit Says Wreck Happened After Cell Phone Rang posted November 11, 2002A Circuit Court lawsuit says a wreck was caused when a woman reached down to get her cell phone that was ringing just after she got off I-75. Richard E. and Lisa Holland are suing Sarah E. and John Massey for $452,500. The suit says Mr. Holland was going east on Lee Highway when Ms. Massey plowed into his vehicle, totaling it and leaving him permanently disabled. It says Ms. Massey went through a red light at Lee Highway while trying to get to the cell phone. Attorney Ronnie Berke filed the suit.
